Sting, 1983 (oil), 24 x 36

I was a lovesick, Sting-obsessed teenager. Notice the subconscious phallic castle and crashing waves in the background.

My wonderful art teacher, Diane Martin, knew I was working through a lot of things in high school and gave me the key to the painting studio so I could work there after hours.  It was a godsend and I'm forever grateful to her for her support and sensitivity.

Southampton Shores, 2019 (oil on canvas) 18 x 24

Trying to capture on of my favorite summertime places, where both the kids and I were our happiest.

Oil on canvas

My friends commissioned me to do a portrait of their wonderful sons. I was more than happy to oblige.

OIl on canvas

a commission for a friend who wanted a large Rothko-like painting for her hallway. I'd never done anything this abstract before, so it was a delightful challenge.

Babe, (2023, oIl and sparkles on canvas), 11 x 14

A commission for a friend of her adorable daughter. II mixed gold sparkles into the paint because she's got such a sparkley personality. I think I captured her impishness.

Ripken (oil, 2023)

A commission I did of my client's girlfriend's dog. A very thoughtful birthday present from him, I think.

Austin (2024, oil), 16 x 20

A friend from Austin, TX commissioned me to paint his son and daughter.
